Class Schedule for Monday 11-16-2009

Hi Students,

I hope everyone has had a good week. Again, a reminder that we have only a few weeks left to prepare for the Christmas Party / Showcase. The dinner will be covered dish so now is the time to start getting out your favorite recipe that you would like to share with your friends. Please check the food list at the front desk and indicate what you will bring to the party.

I would like to extend a special invitation to former class members to come to our Christmas Party / Showcase. It would be nice to see everyone again, share Holiday greetings, and do some catching up.

Showcase participants will not be able to use the gym to practice after class,  however, there is a large room upstairs that you and your partner can use after you finish your group class. I will arrange to have music for you. I will also be available to help you on Wednesday night at Lynn’s. Please e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns about your dance routine.

Christmas Party and Showcase

Hi Students,

Hope you have enjoyed the cooler weather this week. We have two major family Holidays in the next two months, which means all of us are going to be very busy. We have only four weeks before our covered dish Christmas Party and Showcase. Please get with your partner, select a dance, and make time to practice. Remember I will be glad to help.

I will soon be in touch with everyone who signed up to serve on the Christmas Party and Showcase Committee to discuss details. Also, we now have two websites where you can get information about our Monday classes and share information about other dance events in Charlotte. Please take a look at www.ballroomfeats.com and www.carolsdanceclass.com. And thanks to Huck Huckabee for helping us get this started.

November 2nd Class

Hi To All Students,

Wednesday afternoon I will be leaving for Memphis. Here’s a little brief of what it will be like when I arrive. I will be greeted by four beautiful girls ranging in age from ten to two, all talking to me at the same time. Believe it or not it will sound like music to my ear, but only for a short while. It will be my first time to share Halloween with them. I will be blessed to experience the world of magic and imagination through the eyes of the young. Being somewhat childlike myself and a severe choco-holic, I can assure you I will not be going easy on the chocolate candy.

The Showcase list will be finalized on Monday, so get your name on the list. I hope your weekend will include some fun and relaxation and of course dancing. I look forwad to seeing you on Monday.

October 26th Class

Hello Students:

Time is moving fast and I would like to start early planning for our Christmas Party and Showcase.  I need some volunteers to serve on this committee to make plans for these two events.  I will have a sign-up sheet at the front table.  Also, if you know anyone in our dance group that has a special talent that they could share with us at our Christmas Party,  please let me know.  We probably standing by some wonderful talent.  I would like to close our 2009 year of dance with lots of fun, talent and wonderful memories.

The Showcase list will remain at the front table until Monday November second, please make your decision by this date.  Remember any student who would like to participate and you do not have a partner, sign up and we will work on getting partners.

This week begins our new dance for six weeks, try to make each class.   Our schedule for Monday is:

I want to remind you to sign the showcase list if you would like to perform for the class some things you have learned in your dancing.  It was lots of fun last year.  It doesn’t matter what level you are at in your dancing.  I will give more details later.  Our Class Christmas Party will be December 7th and that’s when we will have the Showcase.
